Student Advisory Groups looking for student members

4 Oct 2019

From semester 1 2020, the School of Communication and Arts will be establishing its first ever Student Advisory Groups. There will be one group for each of the following majors:

  • Art History
  • Drama
  • English Literature
  • Writing

The purpose of these groups is to provide formal platforms through which students can provide feedback to School staff members. This may include teaching and learning matters such as course content, assessment, or teaching resources. You will also have the opportunity to provide feedback on matters related to the student experience within your major more generally. This may include discussions of topics such as events and opportunities for students within your major, teaching and study spaces, or support provided to students by the School. This will be a one year commitment (sem 1 and sem 2, 2020).

The feedback gained from these groups will enable academic and professional staff members to re-evaluate their processes and future direction. In this way, the student voice will become even more important to the future direction for the School of Communication and Arts, meaning that your role will have a significant impact for your peers and future students, particularly within your major.
