Pacific Studies, Indigenous Studies

Where do Pacific Studies and Indigenous Studies overlap and where do they move in different directions? In this seminar we will trace the rather different histories of these fields in Australia and globally. What are some of the core claims of each field, and how can students and scholars navigate the two rather different conversations? Participants in the workshop will be encouraged to talk about current research projects during the discussion.
