ATO leaders hear from Dr Anne Kruger on mis-and disinformation risk

Dr Anne Kruger ventured into the pointy end of the CBD this week on the invitation of the Australian Taxation Office to discuss misinformation and disinformation risk. Public Service leaders across Australia converged on Brisbane for the ATO’s two-day Development Program. Participants asked Dr Kruger about her work training news journalists and influencers how to monitor, report, and not fall prey to online mis- and disinformation.  The leaders also asked about Dr Kruger’s work on Australia’s groundbreaking misinformation and disinformation code of practice and how they can continue to use it to serve our democracy. The Leadership Lab ran as a series of roundtables with experts rotating around groups in intense discussions.  External experts also included UQ’s AI expert Professor Gianluca Demartini, QUT ‘s Professor Axel Bruns and Carly Lubicz.
