HDR Placements

About HDR Placements

The University of Queensland’s HDR Placement Program is part of the Graduate School’s Career Development Framework (CDF), a program that facilitates industry experiences for HDR students. Placements allow HDR you to experience current practices in your field and to develop useful career networks while demonstrating and strengthening your transferable, professional, and research skills. Opportunities for HDR Placements can come from industry, government, or non-government organisations. A placement experience can enhance your career options, helping you to develop your skills in planning, strategy, communication, and leadership.

The School of Communication and Arts (SCA) brings together research expertise in literature, creative writing, art history, drama, film and television, communication, journalism, media, and cultural studies. We have strong relationships with industry across our research and teaching disciplines (see Host Organisations below). SCA is committed to supporting HDR students through the CDF program.
