Summer Journalism Courses in Prague
TOL is running three courses in spring/summer 2012, covering international reporting, photojournalism and digital journalism. The courses will bring together students from around the world, and have a strong emphasis on “hands-on” training (including practical reporting assignments – a great way for the students to gain real-world reporting experience).
Foreign Correspondent Training Course, July 22-30
A highly-popular 9-day course featuring practical training and advice from experienced foreign correspondents. Last summer participants came from nine different countries to be trained by journalists who have contributed to respected media outlets, such as the BBC, the Associated Press, The Economist, the New York Times, Thomson Reuters and Sky News.
Photojournalism, July 22-27
Now in its fourth year, this one-week course covers everything from essential photography skills to working with editors and selling your pictures. The course will be led by Dean Cox, a highly experienced photojournalist and trainer who has worked for the Associated Press, the New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, EurasiaNet and Bloomberg News.
Digital Journalism Workshop, May 20-25
Led by digital media expert Kevin Anderson (BBC, The Guardian, Reuters, Al Jazeera English), this intensive workshop will guides students through the maze of online journalism - how best to present content, choose the right software, engage readers and integrate social media.
