Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice Symposium 2013

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the publication Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, one of the most loved novels in the English language. The School is delighted to extend an invitation to come and celebrate the occasion with experts and fans alike.

From the history of the novel’s reception, to film, television and literary adaptations, and even Austen tourism, we’ll pay tribute to the multiple afterlives of Pride and Prejudice, and revel in the many ways in which an anonymous novel published in Regency England continues to enrich our lives as a cultural tour de force, here and now, in twenty-first century Australia.
