Researcher biography
My field of expertise is communication and media studies. I have more than 12 years of experience teaching communication and media studies at first, second, and third-year levels, and have coordinated Honours research methods courses.
My research background is highly interdisciplinary, but can be broadly summarised as "the cultural history of science media." I study how media, communication, science and culture intersect – especially in relation to the nonhuman and more-than-human. I am especially interested in the historical and contemporary roles of media and communication in the documentation and ignorance of physical anomalies that challenge anthropocentric constructs.
