Exciting new opportunity: Scholarship for PhD in Art History

The Brisbane Consortium for the Visual Arts (BVCA) has announced that they are now offering three PhD scholarships, one to each of the Universities they collaborate with, for research in the visual arts in these key areas:

  • Contemporary Asian art;
  • Art of the Asia-Pacific;
  • Australian and Australian Indigenous art;
  • The global contemporary;
  • Curatorial education and training; and
  • New approaches to art history and theory.

The BCVA facilitates scholarly collaboration between the art history-theory programs of Griffith University (GU), Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and the University of Queensland (UQ) working in conjunction with the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).

One scholarship will be awarded to a student at the University of Queensland.

Applications close Friday, 30th September 2016.
