Recording now available: Lloyd Davis Public Lecture - Being There: Shakespeare, Theatre Television, and Live Cinema

12 Sep 2016

Last Tuesday, 5th September, Lloyd Davis' oration given by John Wyver was a huge success. The lecture Being There: Shakespeare, Theatre Television, and Live Cinema, saw John take the audience through the history of the stage's relation to the cinema and television through the prism of Shakespeare’s presentation. It was a tour de force in the way that it integrated lecture and clips — each reinforcing the other.

Much of our philanthropy is shaped by individual giving. In the case of the Lloyd Davis it is an endowment that was very much a product of a joint School and University community and family and friends’ effort. For this reason, it has a special place in the School’s calendar.
