Indigenous Design Principles: SCA Pedagogy Jam

The School of Communication and Arts Teaching and Learning Committee and Indigenous Engagement Committee invite staff to participate in an Indigenous Design Principles Pedagogy Jam. Held at the Dr Mary Mahoney AO Amphitheatre, this collaborative session will provide an opportunity to reflect on how Indigenous Design Principles, including Country, Relationships, Respect, Cultural Capability, Reciprocity, Truth and Benefits, are embedded in teaching practice and curriculum design across the School.

The event will feature a collaborative Acknowledgement of Country, presentations and facilitated small-group discussions exploring examples of practice and opportunities for further engagement with Indigenous Design Principles. Participants are encouraged to reflect on their own teaching experiences and bring examples to share. Staff are also invited to contribute to a collaborative Acknowledgement of Country by bringing something growing from home, their local area or their journey to campus.
