Teaching-Focused Staff Forum: Career Progression

Join us for our next Teaching-Focused Staff Forum on the Monday 2 November 2026, exploring career progression on the Teaching-Focused academic track.

The forum will bring together colleagues from across UQ to share their career experiences, insights and perspectives:

•        Dr Suzanne Bonner (Economics)
•       Prof Gwen Lawrie (Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences)
•       A/Prof Stuart Middleton (Law)
•       A/Prof Jack Wang (Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences)

Each guest will begin with a short introduction and career overview, reflecting on their own experience and progression on the Teaching-Focused track. This will be followed by an open Q&A and discussion, providing an opportunity to hear different perspectives and ask questions about career development and progression.

Have a question for the panel?

Staff are encouraged to submit questions in advance, particularly if there is a topic you would like to ensure is covered or a question that would benefit from some reflection by the panel.

Please send your questions to Ted Nannicelli by the morning of Monday 26 October. There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions during the forum.
