Our popular UQ Master of Communication Program, the second largest in the HASS Faculty, finished the semester in high spirits, celebrating the first "Cohort Connections - Master of Communication Get Together," an informal event where students, teachers, and staff shared happy conversations, pizzas and fun. Students enjoyed socializing with each other without any agenda and with their teachers and admin staff. Smiles and empathy galore. The good news: This event has now been institutionalized and will be held annually. A great thing!
Kevin Sanly Putera, tutor and PhD candidate at the School, created a wonderful influencer-style video with a collage of images of the event. Elske van de Fliert and Tony Biancotti helped facilitate the event together with the Master of Communication Convenor, Elena Block. There were words of appreciation for our Communication and Arts' Head of School, Jenna Ng and the UQ Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences’ Student Futures's Senior Project Officer, Joy Yang Zhang for their support.
Our students enjoyed having informal chats with our academics, Kelly Fielding, Elske van de Fliert, Pradip Thomas, Aparna Hebbani, Lemi Baruh, Leah Henrickson, Renée Mickelburgh, Alex Beare, Regan Neal, Kylie Navuku and Anthony Biancotti. Also with their tutors, Thu Luong Le, Kevin Sanly Putera, David Gilchrist Franssisca Xaveria, David Gilchrist, and members of our super kind admin' SCA staff - Sven Fea and Vivi Liu.
