On May 16, Associate Professor Maggie Nolan was part of a panel with Brisbane-based writers Sita Walker, Fiona Crawford, and Myles McGuire in conversation with the editor of Griffith Review, Carody Culver, to launch the latest issue of GR: “Culture Vultures.”
Maggie is the Director of AustLit, a bio-bibliographical database of Australian literature and story-telling and she spoke with Carody about her essay in the collection "Negotiating Cultural Heritage: Searching for Identity in AustLit" about the challenges of the cultural heritage field in the AustLit database and bibliography in general with a focus on her Australian Research Council-funded project, "Close Relations: Irishness in Australian literature" and what this means for thinking about culture, ancestry, and textuality across the Australian literary field.
