Maggie Nolan has been appointed to the judging panel of the Miles Franklin Literary Award from 2026. The Miles Franklin Award is Australia's longest established and most prestigious literary prize, and is awarded to "a novel which is of the highest literary merit and presents Australian life in any of its phases".
